Political Science Club

The Political Science Club at the University of North Alabama provides the opportunity for those with an affinity with politics to meet with other students who share that interest. The club usually meets once a month and holds various fundraiser, such as its annual yard sale, to pay for outings.

This past year the club met with Florence, Alabama mayor Eddie Frost and held a discussion about the finer points of city government. Mayor Frost also shared with the group some of the reasons he entered politics.

The club has also held campaign parties celebrating election results. In addition, it sponsored a debate between former UNA Political Science professor, Dr. Stephen Roberds, and 1996 5th Congressional District (AL) Republican primary candidate Hugh McInnish.
