Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science

The Pre-Professional Studies concentration is designed for students interested in pursuing advanced studies in Physical/Occupational Therapy, Medical School, etc following completion of the
Bachelor's degree.  The curriculum includes most prerequisite courses necessary for applying to advanced programs such as those listed above.  In addition to a challenging curriculum,
students complete a 200 hour minimum internship during their senior year in which they expand upon the applied skills acquired during completion of coursework. With advanced
credentials, students are prepared for professional opportunities such as Physical/Occupational Therapy, Medical Doctor, Physician's Assistant, Teacher/Professor, among others. 

Skills & knowledge:   Students complete a rigorous series of in-depth applied science courses, with many focusing on working directly with clients with respect to health-related components of fitness.  In addition, students
complete multiple basic science courses including Principles of Biology (I and II), Human Anatomy and Physiology (I and II), Chemistry (I and II), and Physics (I and II).
