University of North Alabama's Model United Nations group travels to national UN simulations to participate in hands-on learning. These conferences bring together delegations from national and global universities. Hundreds of students-all representing UN member-states-work together to formulate policy responses to issues of global concern including development, security, human rights, etc. Our members learn about the countries they represent, the composition and functions of the UN, and the intricacies of global diplomacy. Through their experience with Model UN, student members learn invaluable lesions about global politics, diplomacy, and teamwork.
