UNA ROTC Welcomes New PMS With Transfer CeremonyFLORENCE, Ala. – The University of North Alabama Army ROTC Lion Battalion welcomed a new Professor of Military Science to campus this week and said their goodbyes to the outgoing PMS as well.  Major William Cochran Pruett was given the responsibility of training and developing UNA’s Lion Battalion Corps of Cadets during a transfer ceremony at the memorial amphitheater on UNA’s campus. 

Pruitt will be taking over for Lieutenant Colonel Michael D. Snyder who served as the PMS for UNA’s ROTC program for the past four years.  Snyder is set to retire from military service this year. 

Pruett and his family come to UNA from Pulaski, Tennessee.  However, his last assignment was at joint Base Lewis-McCord in Washington.  Pruett will serve as the 20th Professor of Military Science in UNA’s history.
