The Body Project

The Body Project

Developed by the Oregon Research Institute, The Body Project is a dissonance-based body-acceptance program designed to help women resist cultural pressures to conform to the appearance ideal standard of female beauty and reduce their pursuit of unrealistic bodies.

As part of The Body Project, participants form groups and will talk about how we unintentionally feed into the myths that give rise to body image concerns and unhealthy eating habits, even when many of these beliefs are unhealthy and unattainable.
Groups for Fall 2020 will meet Tuesdays & Wednesdays in September from 5:30 to 6:30pm in the Women's Center.
