CPH Week of Giving

The College Panhellenic Council will hold a week of giving Monday, April 13, 2020 through Friday, April 17, 2020. Each day is dedicated to a different need at UNA or in the Shoals area.

The Florence Lauderdale Animal Shelter is CPH's primary philanthropy. For the first day of CPH's Week of Giving we are asking for direct monetary donations to the shelter.
Donations can be made online via PayPal by sending money to cjones@florenceal.org. Please include a note that your donation is for the animal shelter on behalf of UNA CPH's week of giving.
The Feeding the Pride Food Pantry is a campus service aimed at alleviating hunger among UNA students. There are several FTP Food Pantry locations on campus that all students can access free of charge.
Donations to FTP Food Pantry can be made as a monetary donation (available online) or as an item donation (through Amazon). Please include a note that your donation is being made on behalf of UNA CPH's week of giving. If you choose to make an item donation on Amazon, please ship to the address tied to the Amazon list, so the donation goes directly to campus to stock the Feeding the Pride Food Pantry.

CPH's secondary philanthropy is the Period Project. The period project is a partnership with University Center Operations and Event Management and other campus departments. The goal of the Period Project is to provide free feminine hygiene products to women on campus.
Donations to the period project can be made by purchasing from our Amazon List. Please ship to the address tied to the Amazon list, so it ships directly to our office for distribution around campus. Please include a note that your donation is for CPH's week of giving.
Room in the Inn is dedicated to provide shelter to those in need during the coldest months of the year. Donations to Room in the Inn can be made as a monetary donation online or as an item donation from an Amazon listPlease include a note that your donation is made on behalf of UNA CPH's week of giving. If you choose to make an item donation on Amazon, please ship to the address tied to the Amazon list, so the donation goes directly to Room in the Inn.
We feel especially called to highlight this giving opportunity during this year's week of giving. The Caring for the Pride Fund supports students affected by an unexpected life event.
You can donate to the Caring for the Pride Fund onlinePlease include a note that your donation is for the Caring for the Pride fund and is being made on behalf of UNA CPH's week of giving.

Each day, Panhellenic will be giving $25 away to a UNA student that participates in that day of giving. The $25 will be determined by a random raffle. Students will receive 1 raffle entry per $5 donated (whether through monetary donations or item donations). Donations will NOT be rounded up (i.e., if a student spent $12 on an item donation, they will only receive 2 raffle entries).

To qualify for the daily raffle, students must screen capture their donation receipt and upload them to this Google form by 11:59pm CDT on the specific date they're entering for (i.e., donations made for to the animal shelter will only count for Monday's raffle and must be uploaded on the Google form by 11:59pm CDT on April 13, 2020).

The drawing winner will be announced on the CPH Instagram account by 2pm the following day (i.e., the winner of the animal shelter 4/13 day raffle will be announced on 4/14). Winners will be expected to respond to our Instagram post with the requested information so the $25 check can be mailed. Checks will be mailed approximately 2 weeks after the winner information is received.

CPH is hosting a fraternity challenge on Wednesday, April 15, 2020. The fraternity that donates the most to the Period Project will receive $100 to their philanthropy of choice. To participate, the fraternity members need to purchase items from the Period Project Amazon list and ship them to the address tied to the list. Once the purchase is complete, the member must screen capture the receipt of their purchase and upload it to this Google form by 11:59pm on Wednesday, April 15, 2020.

The winning fraternity will be announced on the CPH Instagram account by 2pm the following day. Fraternity men that participate in the fraternity challenge, will also be able to use their donation to participate in the daily student raffle (the Google form is the same for both the daily raffle and the fraternity challenge, so only 1 entry is needed). The chapter president will be expected to inform the CPH Director of Programming of the philanthropy of choice within 48 hours of the winner being announced. The check will be mailed approximately 2 weeks after the philanthropy information is received.

As CPH is the governing body of the Panhellenic chapters on campus, we are encouraging our Panhellenic members to participate in the week of giving by hosting a Panhellenic Competition. This competition is to see which Panhellenic chapter doantes the most throughout the entirety of the Week of Giving.

To enter, chapter members will complete the Google form (the same form as the daily student raffle) each day they participate (screen captures of donation receipts are required to be counted). Donations counting toward the Panhellenic Competition must correspond with the appropriate day of the Week of Giving and be submitted by 11:59pm CDT on the designated day. Panhellenic will provide updates throughout the week. The winners of the Panhellenic Competition will be announced on the CPH Instagram account by 2pm on Saturday, April 18, 2020. The prizes for the Panhellenic Competition will be donations to the chapter's philanthropy of choice and are allocated as follows (based on total amount donated during the Week of Giving):

1st Place: $200
2nd Place: $100
3rd Place: $75
4th Place: $25

The chapter president will be expected to inform the CPH Director of Programming of the philanthropy of choice within 48 hours of the winner being announced. The check will be mailed approximately 2 weeks after the philanthropy information is received.
