CIS focuses on the application of information technology in an organizational environment with an emphasis on the analysis, design, implementation, and support of business information systems. CIS students develop an in-depth understanding of the application of information technology in core business processes and functions as well as the skills necessary to effectively use technology to solve business problems. The CIS curriculum is structured to provide a strong foundation for careers in IT management, software development, systems/business analysis, web development, infrastructure design and administration, project management, and database development.
