Music

Collegiate Singers – Promoting individual musical growth and music education in choral singing, the Collegiate singers are sponsored by the Music Department. This choir represents the University in concerts and on tour.

National Association of Music Education (MENC) – The purpose of MENC is to provide music majors with the most useful knowledge of their field that cannot be learned in the classroom. Numerous first class clinicians, band directors, choral directors, and general music teachers will appear to disburse their knowledge to the music majors of UNA.

Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Fraternity – The purpose of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia shall be to encourage and actively promote the highest standards of creativity, performance, education, and research in music in America. Further purposes shall be develop and encourage loyalty to the Alma mater, to foster the mutual welfare and brotherhood of students of music, to develop the truest fraternal spirit among its members, and to instill in all people an awareness of music's important role in the enrichment of the human spirit.

Sigma Alpha Iota - The mission of Sigma Alpha Iota International Music Fraternity is to encourage, nurture, and support the art of music. 

Tau Beta Sigma – Tau Beta Sigma is the band honorary sorority. They work hard to further the band program, concentrating in the areas of service, fostering close friendships, and pursuit of excellence in performance of good music and exposure to the musical arts. Advisor is Lloyd Jones.

University Band – The University of North Alabama Band is a multifaceted organization which includes the "Pride of Dixie" Marching Band, Concert Band, Jazz Band, Jazz Combo, and Pep Band. Scholarships are available, through audition, to all members regardless of academic major.

UNA Color Guard – The UNA Color Guard provides visual impact for the "Pride of Dixie" Marching Band. Members must be experienced in basic color guard techniques or have an interest in learning. Scholarships are available to all those selected as members. Auditions for the UNA Color Guard are held in the spring semester.

UNA Lionettes – The UNA Lionettes are the dance line which performs as a part of the "Pride of Dixie" Marching Band. Members must have an interest in dance and performance. Auditions for the Lionette Dance Line are held in the spring semester.

UNA Majorettes – The UNA Majorettes are an integral part of the "Pride of Dixie" Marching Band. Prior experience as a majorette is required. Scholarships are available to all those selected as members. Auditions for positions on the UNA Majorette Line are held in the spring semester.
