of Arts and Sciences provides courses and degree programs that fit the needs of today’s students.
Professors
in the College of Arts and Sciences are knowledgeable and
engaging teachers who believe that vigorous interaction between
faculty and students, and among students themselves, is the
key to intellectual growth. Our professors are also active
scholars who stay current in their teaching fields and maintain
the respect of their peers. A host of successful alumni attest
to the quality of UNA’s programs in the arts and sciences.
For students who have not yet decided on a major, the College of Arts and Sciences offers advising services to aid students in exploring intellectual and career interests and selecting the courses and programs that will help them to achieve their goals.
The office of the College of Arts and Sciences is located in historic Wesleyan Hall, room 129. Dr. Vagn Hansen, Dean; Mrs. Debbie Tubbs, Executive Secretary; and Ms. Jennifer Holt, Coordinator of Academic Advising, are happy to work with current and prospective students to make the most of the many opportunities available.
