Bonnie Jenkins

 

She is a 1990 graduate of UNA’s Industrial Hygiene Program and currently serves on their advisory board. She is also a graduate of UAB’s School of Public Health’s Masters in Industrial Hygiene.  She has served as EHS Director at GE Appliances refrigerator manufacturing plant in Decatur, AL for 18 years prior to being promoted to her current position supporting all of GE Appliances as Senior Director of Environment, Health, Safety and Sustainability.  She holds her Certification in Industrial Hygiene (CIH) as well as a Certified Safety Professional (CSP). Over the years she has served on professional IH and Safety boards.  Bonnie also works closely with the GE Appliances’ Women in Operations, WellWithin Programs and is a member of the Women in Manufacturing organization.  She currently serves as a committee member for Women Influencing Louisville and Women in IH.  She helps lead the Inclusion & Diversity Council for supply chain. She has two daughters, one of which is a 2023 graduate from UNA’s Exercise Science Program while her other daughter is currently studying at Auburn. She loves to read, travel and spend time with friends and family.
