Ms. Margaret Lawler

I was born one of eight children in Sheffield, Alabama. I graduated from Sheffield High School in 1968. I attended Auburn University and graduated with a B.S. degree in Elementary Education from the University of North Alabama in 1972. I received a M. Ed. in Early Childhood Education from Auburn University in 1977. I have taught in Opelika City Schools, Lawrence County Schools, and have been at Kilby Laboratory School since 1979. I live in Sheffield with my twenty year old son, Collins, who is a student at the University of North Alabama. I also have a granddaughter, Sophie, who is the joy of my life. I love animals and have three dogs, two cats, and two fish. My hobbies are gardening, reading, cooking, cycling and working out at the gym. I have been teaching for 35 years, and can truly say I have loved every minute of it!
