Shuttle Bus Routes

The university provides shuttle buses, to transport people around the campus, Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 1:30 pm. The buses have designated stops with signs but will stop for people if flagged down. The buses travel three separate routes and each route takes approximately 10 minutes. The main purpose of the shuttles is to transport people from more remote parking to the campus core.

Please note that the North Route travels down Pine Street to Lions Gate and then Wildwood Park Road to Stewart Avenue to return to campus. Students and staff living near Lions Gate and the Cypress Mills Road area would be well served using that bus. Also, the East Route travels down Tuscaloosa Street to Pine Street to return to campus. Students and staff living downtown and in Court View Towers would be well served by that bus.

Campus parking can be a challenge. Using the shuttle buses can assist with reducing the number of cars seeking spaces and prevent tickets for violation of parking regulation, due to trying to park in the campus core. Please use the shuttle buses if you live close to campus near one of the routes. Leave the car at home and save gas. If you arrive on campus after 9 am, use the more remote lots (Stewart Avenue and rear of University Police Department) and take the bus to your class.
