The College of Business is the fastest growing unit of the University, using on-campus and online programs to serve 1,100 undergraduates and more than 600 graduate students. Forty highly dedicated full-time faculty staff the College—most holding PhDs from leading universities. The College of Business is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) and the Computer Information Systems Program is accredited by ABET, Inc., the most recognized accrediting body for computing programs throughout the world. Our students participate in, and frequently achieve recognition and awards in, academic competitions at the state, national, and international levels in a wide variety of disciplines. 

Every organization—Fortune 500 companies, entrepreneurial start-ups, retail stores, schools, churches, manufacturers, social service agencies, technology firms, governmental agencies, airlines, hotels, and restaurants—all require business know-how. Our business programs prepare students for career success in whatever path they pursue. UNA College of Business alumni may be found in each of these employment settings in locations locally, throughout the country and around the world.

2013 Phi Beta Lambda State Conference Results

 

UNA’s chapter of Phi Beta Lambda attended its 26th consecutive state conference in Birmingham, AL on April 12-13th.  Twenty-two PBL students were accompanied by Dr. Joan Parris and Mrs. Donna Yancey to the conference. Most of the students competed in two different competitions; and the chapter brought home 20 first place awards; 9 second place awards, and 5 third place wins.   Full results are available here!

 

College of Business ACBSP Accreditation is Reaffirmed

We are extremely pleased and proud to report that The Board of Commissioners of the Baccalaureate/Graduate Commission of the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) met on November 15-17, 2012, and granted reaffirmation of accreditation to the University of North Alabama. 


Advising Sessions - Summer and Fall 

Preregistration Begins April 8th!  All students MUST be advised so plan to attend one of these scheduled advising sessions.  Advising sessions are scheduled as early as March 20th so act today and get your Summer and Fall schedules planned.
