Wright, Thomason Crowned Homecoming Queen and King

FLORENCE, Ala. – Terri Wright and Randy Thomason were crowned the University of North Alabama’s 2012 Homecoming Queen and King this evening. The coronation ceremony took place at Braly Municipal Stadium before UNA’s Homecoming football game against Shorter University.

Wright, of Florence, is a senior majoring in secondary education and English and language arts. She is vice president of membership for the Zeta Tau Alpha sorority, the 2011 Sigma Chi Sweetheart and treasurer of the English Honor Society. Wright has also been involved in a variety of community service projects, including soup kitchens, church canned food drives, disaster relief and fundraising for breast cancer education awareness.

Thomason, of Danville, is a senior majoring in professional accounting. He is president of the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity and a member of the College of Business Ambassadors, Accounting Scholars, Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society and Order of Omega. Thomason has also served as a member of the LaGrange Society, a community adviser for the Department of Residence Life and the 2011 head SOAR counselor.

Other nominees for Homecoming Queen include Kaitlin Chappell, of Cullman; Anna Beth Ferguson, of Arab; Emily McCann, of Muscle Shoals; and Ashley Truelove, of Tuscaloosa. Other nominees for Homecoming King include Dillon Green, of Florence; Alex Gouin, of Birmingham; Anthony Horton, of Red Bay; and Dalton Wilson, of Florence.
