UNA Preview Day Slated for Nov. 7

Oct. 16, 2009

FLORENCE, Ala. – The University of North Alabama is expecting 1,500 prospective students along with families and guests to attend its annual Preview Day Nov. 7. The event is open to all students and families interested in UNA. No reservations are required.

“We want to give potential students as much information in one day as possible,” said Julie Yates, Preview Day coordinator.

Attendees will receive a free meal provided by Zaxby’s and free tickets to UNA’s last home football game of the season, when the Lions face off against the University of West Alabama. At halftime a prospective student will receive a full-tuition scholarship for the 2010-11 academic year.

“We also want potential students to have a good time and enjoy themselves while they’re on campus,” Yates said.

Prospective students will have the opportunity to tour a residence hall and meet with administrators and faculty members. Each academic department will have a booth set up on the first-floor atrium of the Guillot University Center, and student organizations will be on the second floor.
