Bio

I was raised in Huntsville, Alabama. I graduated from the University of North Alabama where I received my Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Elementary Education. My husband, Paul, and I have been married for thirty-five years. We are proud parents of a son Matthew, and a daughter Macey who are both UNA graduates. A few of my favorite things are spending quality time with family and friends, planting fresh flowers, pets, baking fresh chocolate chip cookies, traveling, and reading. As a former Kilby parent, I feel it is both an honor and a privilege to work collaboratively with such an outstanding faculty as well as phenomenal parents. My first ten years of teaching were spent in the upper elementary grades in Sheffield, and for the last ten years I have taught third grade at Kilby Laboratory School on the UNA campus. I have been blessed with remarkable experiences and wonderful memories that I will cherish forever. I am truly dedicated to the teaching profession and to making a difference in the lives of young people on the UNA campus. I am humbled to be a part of such an outstanding school of excellence, and I will always be grateful for this opportunity.
