Nancy Opler has served as a volunteer for over 30 years with the American Red Cross locally, statewide and nationally. She was the first woman appointed as Chair of the Lauderdale County Chapter. She has previously served on the UNA Foundation Board and during that time was Chair of the Finance Committee for 10 years. She has been a member of the President's Cabinet since its inception, and she now serves as Chair.

She is active in Arts Alive of the Kennedy Douglas Center for the Arts and oversees the Jack & Nancy Opler Award.
