FIRST, view sample résumés at una.edu/career. Once you have created and saved your resume, you are ready to submit.
• Click the DOCUMENTS tab
• Click PENDING/ADD NEW, then Add New again (purple button)
• Label your document (for example, “Resume 2018”)
BROWSE to the location where your résumé is saved and choose your file then click SUBMIT

All documents will be reviewed by the Career Center staff to ensure they have up-loaded correctly. Please allow 48 hours for review.
-You will receive an email with comments and instructions.
- Make any suggested changes and re-submit.
*WHEN YOUR DOCUMENT IS APPROVED, YOU WILL BE ABLE TO APPLY FOR JOBS.

Click the JOBS tab. Next click CSM JOBS, then Advanced Search, OR NACElink Extended Job Search.
• Indicate the POSITION TYPE you are seeking (part-time or full-time, on- or off campus).
• Click SEARCH, or further narrow the search as you wish.
• Scroll down to view the list of positions. Click on the JOB TITLE of the position you wish to review.
• Follow the instructions to apply for the job. In most cases, you will not be able to apply for the job if you do not have an approved résumé uploaded to your LionJobs account.
  • Login to your Lion Jobs account
  • Click on the 'Jobs' tab then click 'Search'
  • Type your criteria in the Search Bar (ex. 'Marketing')
  • Click the 'Search' button
  • Click 'Create Job Alert'
  • Open Job Alert link and set frequency
  • You will now receive emails with updates on job posts that fit your search criteria!

Thank you for your interest in hiring our UNA Pride.  The UNA Career Center uses LionJobs - a free, user-friendly job database that allows employers to recruit students.  Establishing your profile through LionJobs ensures that your job opportunities are visible to the largest student population.  Students and alumni have 24/7 access to the system to search for full-time, part-time, co-op and internship positions both on and off campus.

  • Login to your Account
  • Click on "SIGN UP AND POST JOB" (The “Post a Multi-School Job” option incurs fees.)
  • Complete the requested Company Information
  • Under Services Requested, leave all options checked (This allows use of all system features.)
  • Complete the requested Contact Information Click the "Next" button
  • You will receive a confirmation email within 24-48 hours asking you to set up a password. To protect our students, all employer registrations are reviewed and approved by Career Center Staff.
  • After you set up your password, you will arrive at the homepage on LionJobs, click on Jobs, Job Postings, post a job.
  • Complete the required Position Information.

Please pay special attention to the “Resume Receipt” question.

  • If you select “e-mail,” any submitted resumes will be sent to the contact person via email.
  • If you select “Accumulate Online,” you will need to log-on to LionJobs to view the submitted resumes.
  • If you select “Other,” a text box will appear entitled “How to Apply” and you can type specific instructions (i.e. mail/fax or deliver in person).
  • Hold down the Control Key to select multiple options from a drop-down box.
  • Click the "SUBMIT" or “SAVE AND FINISH LATER” button.

Note:  Your account will be activated and your position posted within 1 business day upon approval from Career Center Staff during normal university hours. Process may be delayed if the university is closed. Ans. LionJobs is the UNA Career Center's Online Employment System. All internships, part-time jobs and full-time jobs are posted to LionJobs. It is required that all on campus jobs be posted to LionJobs. 
Ans. Once you are enrolled in classes, you will receive an email to activate your LionJobs account. Your username and password are the same as your Portal/Canvas information.
Ans. LionJobs is strictly for current UNA students and alumni. 
Ans. Log in to your LionJobs account, click on "Documents" and "Add New." Please make sure you choose the correct title of your document. For resumes, choose "Resume." For cover letters, choose "Cover Letter." And for departmental applications, transcripts, schedules or any other documents, choose "Other Documents." The documents you upload will be approved within 24-48 hours after you have submitted them to LionJobs unless you submit them on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. 
Ans. You may not have saved your departmental application as "Other Documents." If you saved the departmental application as "Resume" or "Cover Letter," you will not be able to upload it to the position for which you want to apply. Please resubmit your departmental application as "Other Documents." 
Ans. The Career Center staff wants to make sure that your resume looks its absolute best before you submit it to an employer. If your resume was disapproved, please check your email for the reason why and to review suggestions given for improvement. If you do not see the reason why, please call 256-765-4276 for further assistance. All seniors are encouraged to meet with someone in the Career Center before graduation to receive one-on-one assistance with their resume and other application materials. 
Ans. No. Once you click "Submit," you are unable to attach any other documents. Please make sure you have submitted all required documents before clicking, "Submit." Some employers ask for additional documents to make sure that applying students know how to follow directions. READ all the instructions for each position before you apply.
