Alex Wittscheck
Born and raised in Florence, Alabama, Alex Wittscheck developed a love for music during his teenage years. His transition from playing music in garage bands during high school to traveling the southeastern United States as the bassist in the regional Christian worship band, Hello August, provided him opportunities to grow as a musician, learn road management, and hone his skills as an audio engineer.
After graduating from the University of North Alabama, Florence, Alabama, with a B.S. in Commercial Music, Alex progressed in his career to tour managing artists such as Matthew Mayfield, David Ramirez, firekid and, Grammy Award winner John Paul White. When not on the road tour managing, Alex spent his time working as a freelance live audio engineer. Working with Overflo Productions of Florence, Alabama, and independently, Alex engineered shows for St. Paul and The Broken Bones, TI, Dylan LeBlanc, The Secret Sisters and Jason Isbell, among many others. Alex also worked with Armosa Studios for several years, first on a freelance basis and then as a part of their staff. At Armosa, he handled production management and all audio for their videos.
Currently, Alex is fully committed to his position as Lecturer in the Department of Entertainment Industry at his Alma Mater, UNA. In this role, he shares his love for audio with students, and is still able to pick up freelance tour management and audio engineering jobs when time allows. He graduated in 2019 from Southern Utah University with a Master of Music in Music Technology and is a member of the Music and Entertainment Industry Educators Association (MEIEA) as well as the Audio Engineering Society (AES).
Other than a short stint living in Nashville, Alex has lived in the Shoals area of Alabama his entire life. His extensive travel across the United States has opened his mind to the beauty of his hometown and the people in it. He and his wife, Erin, have settled in the area and are raising their family in the community of their dreams.
