The Shoals Blues Challenge
The sixth annual Shoals Blues Challenge will be Saturday, July 24th at The Mane Room, 310 North Pine Street. The challenge is a judged showcase and competition of blues bands and solo/duo blues artists in which competitors take the stage for a 20-minute set and will be penalized for going over the allotted time. The acts are judged based on an established set of criteria included in this packet. The winners are expected to compete in the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, TN in January, 2022. The winners will receive a stipend to assist with the costs of attending the finals in Memphis. ($1500 band and $750 solos/duo).
Backline is provided in the form of high quality drum kit, bass amp, guitar amp and keyboard with amp.

All Application Fees will be waived for this year's competition!
Eligibility:
The Shoals Blues Challenge is open to bands, and solo/duo artist from the region. The acts will represent the Shoals area when they compete in Memphis.
