Eric Heatherly, Nathan Johnson to Perform at Film Festival After Party

FLORENCE, Ala. – Country musician Eric Heatherly will be the featured entertainment at the after party for the George Lindsey UNA Film Festival Awards Show. The party will begin at 9 p.m. this Saturday at Cypress Moon Studio in Sheffield. Nathan Johnson will open for Heatherly.

Admission to the after party is included in the awards show ticket, which is $17. Tickets are also available to the after party only for $11.50 each. Tickets are available at www.lindseyfilmfest.com or at the UNA Bookstore or CoffeeOlogy, located inside the Florence-Lauderdale Public Library. After-party tickets will also be available at Cypress Moon Studio.

Heatherly has released three albums, including “Swimming in Champagne,” featuring his cover of the Statler Brothers’ song “Flowers on the Wall,” which earned a No. 6 spot on Billboard’s Hot Country Singles and Tracks chart. His other albums include “The Lower East Side of Life” and “2 High 2 Cry.”

Pop/rock singer Johnson is a student in the University of North Alabama’s entertainment industry program. He performs regularly in north Alabama and the surrounding area.

The George Lindsey UNA Film Festival is one of the few film festivals hosted by a university. The event was founded in 1998 in part by UNA alumnus and celebrated actor and entertainer George Lindsey. Lindsey’s own film career has included several important roles, including the character Goober Pyle on “The Andy Griffith Show.”
