When visiting the Center for a consultation, please remember to bring:

• pen, paper, or a flash drive;
• your assignment sheet or syllabus;
• notes, drafts, outlines, or ideas;
• questions about the work;
• and a positive attitude and outlook.

More preparation will result in a better consultation!

Consultants can and will address any questions, but if the client does not have a plan for the consultation, the consultants will tend to:

• check to see if the client is following a useful writing process;
• check and address Higher Order / Global Concerns;
• check and address trends of errors in Lower Order / Local Concerns;
• and check citation documentation.
