Laura L. Williams

Bio
Dr. Williams as been a faculty member at UNA since 2007. She received her BSN in 1994 from UAB, family nurse practitioner (FNP) from UAH in 1999, and her PhD from UAB in 2009. Her PhD concentration focused on promoting, protecting, and restoring health. Her nursing practice experience includes medical surgical nursing and home health nursing. Her FNP experience includes family practice, and more importantly long-term care of geriatric nursing clients. She is skilled in management of chronic illness, and pharmacological management of those chronic illnesses. She currently practices at Shoals Community Clinic, which serves the working uninsured of the Tennessee Valley.
