Bio
Dr. Michelle Nelson has been a faculty member at the University of North Alabama since 2002. During her tenure, she has taught in the face to face traditional nursing program (12 years) and in the Post Licensure Nursing and Health Professions programs. In 2018, Dr. Nelson was named the Director of Post Licensure Nursing and Health Professions programs. She worked closely with the Undergraduate Department Chair in 2018 to develop the Bachelor of Science Applied Health Science program. Dr. Nelson is published in the peer-reviewed journal International Journal of Innovation Education and Research. Dr. Nelson was named the Associate Dean of the Delores and Weldon Cole Honors College in June 2021. Dr. Nelson resides in Florence, Alabama.
