Experiential Learning - "Learning through reflection on doing". Experiential learning is the process of learning through experience. It is a hands on approach to education that moves beyond the classroom and provides a more involved way of learning. Below are some of the examples of the Experiential Learning opportunities available to UNA Students. 1. Clinical Experience, 2. Shadowing, 3. Co-Op, 4. Simulations, 5. Internships, 6. Student Teaching, 7. Practicums, 8. Study Abroad, 9. Professional Practice, 10. Research, 11. Service Learning, 12. Volunteering.

Students perform short-term, professional assignments while also allowing companies to identify and assess highly motivated college students and recent graduates for fit should there be full-time opportunities. Unlike traditional internships, these paid opportunities typically range from 5 to 40 hours of work, can be completed year-round, and help students develop career skills while getting paid.
