Family Orientation

UNA SOAR Family Orientation

Family Orientation is tailored to the needs of parents and guardians, focusing on topics that are of special relevance to you in your role as a student supporter. This event provides you with a comprehensive introduction to the campus resources and services that are in place to ensure your student's success as a UNA Lion. Students can register their family members for Family Orientation during the online registration for Student Orientation (SOAR).

You can review SOAR Dates and  SOAR Schedules online.

FERPA Release

FERPA is a rights and privacy act that protects your student’s personally identifiable information. In order for parents or family members to have access to this information, your student must add you to their FERPA release. Students may complete a FERPA release by logging into their UNA portal ( Review our SOAR Videos to learn how to complete the FERPA release.

Check the Student Checklist

Make sure your student completes all the steps in the Student Checklist prior to attending their orientation session.
