iNforming the Future of Healthcare
Every UNA nursing student receives an iPad on day one and uses it every day after. In the classroom, in simulation, and in clinical practice, technology is woven into how we teach and how students learn.
Program Overview
Built Into Everything We Do
Most of our faculty hold Apple Teacher certification, and it shows in how they structure learning. iPads are present at every stage of the program, from first-semester coursework through final clinical rotations.
In the Classroom
Notability, digital textbooks, and annotated lecture slides are standard tools in every course. Students arrive knowing their learning style. The iPad works with it.
In Simulation
Students document patient care in real time during simulations, using the same tools they'll use in clinical practice. Crash carts equipped with iPad-based cardiac monitors put learners inside realistic emergency scenarios before they ever face one for real.
In Clinical Practice
Real-time charting during clinical rotations builds documentation skills through repeated practice. By the time students enter independent practice, accurate recordkeeping is already second nature.
