FLORENCE, Ala. – University of North Alabama math major Tori Davis has been named a recipient of the 2015 National Space Club scholarship.  The $1,000 scholarship is awarded to students pursuing a career in the science, technology, engineering or mathematics (STEM) fields, and is based on academic strength and public speaking ability.  Davis will be among the honorees at the annual Dr. Wernher von Braun Memorial Dinner, Oct. 29, 2015.

This prestigious event at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center’s Davidson Center for Space Exploration draws more than 750 attendees each year. The event celebrates space exploration with the people who have helped make the country, the state, and the community so influential and successful in the national space program.

The National Space Club is a non-profit organization devoted to fostering excellence in space activity through interaction between industry and government and through a continuing program of educational support.
