Feeding the Pride

The mission of Feeding the Pride is to alleviate hunger within the UNA community and raise awareness about the growing issue of food insecurity across campus.

  1. Student Engagement Center - Guillot University Center, Suite 163
    Monday - Friday: 8:00am-4:30pm
    *This location is not open when the university is closed (i.e. holidays, breaks, etc.)
  2. Rice Hall - ground floor
    Monday - Friday: 8:00pm
    Saturday & Sunday - 2:00pm & 8:00pm
    *This location will be available when the university is closed.
  3. Collier Library - circulation desk at the entrance
    *This location only has pre-bagged food options that are available in limited quantity. 

All currently enrolled UNA students may use the food pantry services. Students will be asked to show their Mane Card upon arrival.

Students should simply show up to a pantry location during the hours of operation to receive food assistance. There are no requirements of who can/can't use the pantry outside of being a current UNA student. 

Students may opt-in for text message notifications of pantry announcements (i.e. pantry re-stock, fresh food delivery, refrigerated meals, etc.)

These items are available in the pantry:

  • Nonperishable food (canned food, pastas, soups, etc.)
  • Hygiene items; men's & women's (body wash, shampoo/conditioner, feminine hygiene products, etc.)
  • Basic necessities (paper towels, toilet paper, laundry detergent, can openers, etc.)
  • Fresh fruit and vegetables *available on occasion
  • Cooked refrigerated meals *available on occasion
The Feeding the Pride food pantry operates off of generous donations from community and campus supporters. If you would like to support the pantry by donating goods, please reference the list below for recommended items. We cannot receive any food that is expired. Please check expiration dates before donating. Donations may be dropped off at the Student Engagement office in the Guillot University Center, Suite 163 (Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm).

  • fruit cups/pudding cups

  • baby food/formula

The Feeding the Pride food pantry operates off of generous donations from community and campus supporters. All donations made to the Feeding the Pride Pantry are tax deductible. Donations are used to provide meal plan scholarships to students in need as well as restock the pantry locations on campus. 

Monetary donations can be made here in the following ways:

  • Online (credit card)
  • Faculty/Staff Payroll Deduction
  • Cash or Check
