Caring for the Pride is Emergency Financial Assistance available to students, who are actively enrolled, in good academic and conduct standing, faculty and staff who experience dire circumstances that may jeopardize their health, safety and/or academic performance. 

Funds may be used for demonstrated need with supporting documentation, including but not limited to:

• Illness or related medical expenses
• Tuition, fees, books or related required course materials
• Travel due to family emergency
• Accidents or theft
• Rent
• Car repair

The maximum benefit of Caring for the Pride is $500. Students are expected to use all of their available resources prior to applying. If you believe you have a dire circumstance and would like to have your situation evaluated for emergency funding please complete the application and supporting documents thoroughly and submit to the ROAR Access Center or hunderwood1@una.edu. 

Decisions are made by the ROAR Access Center staff and supported or denied in conjunction with the Student Affairs Dean of Students office based on individual need and fund availability.
