Student Counseling Services provides mental health education and training to equip students, faculty, and staff with the knowledge and skills needed to recognize, understand, and support mental health needs effectively. It is our mission to reduce stigma, increase resources, and unite with others to achieve a healthy campus.

Distinguish the difference between having a bad day and experiencing a mental health crisis by learning to recognize the signs of each and discovering what is available to you during a time of need. - Food and Mood
Explore the connection between nutrition and mental health by learning how what you eat affects your mood, energy, and overall well-being. - Mental Health Matters
Enhance your understanding of mental health by equipping yourself with the tools needed to identify and address common mental health concerns. - Student Counseling Services

- Mental Health First Aid (MHFA)
MHFA provides participants with the skills needed to directly respond to presenting crisis and non-crisis mental health challenges by building confidence and increasing action towards prevention, intervention, and referral. Overall, MHFA enhances the quality of support provided on-campus as participants deepen their mental health literacy and apply strength-based, holistic plans of action for emotional, mental, and behavioral concerns. Clinicians are certified to train participants in Youth or Adult Mental Health First Aid.
