Groups & Workshops

Student Counseling Services offers a welcoming space for students to connect with others, explore their experiences, and build skills that support their mental health and overall well-being. Through group therapy and workshops, students can grow, strengthen connection and belonging, and discover that group is good!Cool People Attend Group

Group therapy is a unique opportunity available to students in need of a supportive, safe environment. Groups often cultivate moments in which students share, relate, and increase awareness. Groups meet for 45-minutes and oftentimes have 5-12 students participating with 1-2 group leaders.

Workshops are scheduled across campus throughout the semester and posted on this website, Campus Groups. Similar to the group experience, SCS workshops explore topics relevant to student well-being through a psychoeducational approach (i.e. education about mental health conditions and coping strategies that increases mental health awareness and management).
NOTE: Appointments are not required for groups/workshops. All UNA students are invited to participate, regardless if they are receiving services or not.
