Janna Malone is Senior Lecturer and Chair of the David and John Briggs Family Department of Entertainment Industry at the University of North Alabama. She received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Commercial Music and an Executive Master of Business Administration from the University of North Alabama. She teaches music business courses and is the Internship Coordinator for students majoring in Entertainment Industry. She is completing her 29th year at UNA.

Prior to her work at UNA, Malone was employed at FAME Recording Studios in Muscle Shoals, where she served as Executive Administrator of the publishing and production companies.

She is a member of Music and Entertainment Industry Educators Association and serves on the Board of Directors of the Alabama Music Hall of Fame and Muscle Shoals Music Association. She received the 2025 UNA College of Arts, Sciences, and Engineering Outstanding Department Chair Award.
