Brad Botes '83

Brad Botes ‘83 graduated with a double major in Business Management and Political Science. He also served as president of the UNA Student Government Association for two years. He received a Juris Doctorate degree from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University. Botes is the founder and president of each of the Bond and Botes Law firms, which are located in Alabama, Mississippi and Tennessee, managing the team of lawyers since its inception in 1989. He was recently named a Birmingham “Top Lawyer for 2016.”A member of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys, Botes has served as a member of its Board of Directors and as its first full time Executive Director. He has lectured on various bankruptcy topics to local and national gatherings of bankruptcy attorneys, trustees and judges.   Community service consists of serving as a member of the board of Directors of the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Birmingham, the Alabama Head Injury Foundation, and the Alabama Coalition against Rape. Brad also donates a great deal of time and energy to community projects, most notably as past president and board member of the Birmingham Crisis Center.  Brad is married to UNA graduate Kaye Benson Botes ‘84 and they are the parents of Bradford, Jr., Meredith and Philip.
