Joe Campbell is a shareholder with Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell & Berkowitz, P.C. He graduated from UNA in 1977 with a B.S. degree and received his J.D. degree from the Birmingham School of Law in 1981. He has been serving as general counsel for The Health Care Authority of the City of Huntsville since 1986 and as general counsel for The Health Care Authority of North Alabama since 1995. The members of these authorities are: Huntsville Hospital, Madison Hospital, Athens-Limestone Hospital, Decatur Morgan Hospital, Helen Keller Hospital and Red Bay Hospital.

Currently, Joe’s professional associations are with the United States Supreme Court, the Alabama State Bar Association, the American Health Lawyers Association, and the Huntsville- Madison County Bar Association. Since 2012, he has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America® in the area of Healthcare Law; and was listed as a top lawyer in Alabama by Chamber USA: America’s Leading Business Lawyers in Healthcare in 2017. He is actively serving on the Professional Advisory Council for Hudson Alpha, the Foundation Board of Directors at Calhoun Community College and is co-chair of the Committee of 100 Launch 2035 Land Planning Committee that is developing a bike/walk trail in North Alabama. He has served in the past as a Board of Director at the following: The LandTrust of North Alabama, The New Hope Children’s Clinic, and Madison Academy.
