About Us
We in the Facilities Administration and Planning Department are here to provide facilities services to the "UNA" community and its 58 buildings occupying 147 acres. We have dedicated ourselves to maintaining a manicured campus, comfortable facilities for all, and a high level of cleanliness in all buildings and the grounds. This is accomplished through the maintenance, repair and general upkeep of all the campus buildings, grounds, and by responding to work requests that have been called in to the department.
Maintenance
Our Maintenance department is responsible for maintaining all HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, Air conditioning, refrigeration systems), building and exterior electrical systems, fire alarms and sprinkler systems, carpentry work, painting work, lock repairs and key requests, vehicles and buses, moving and deliveries and shipping and receiving. Out personnel perform preventive maintenance, general repairs, minor renovations and construction projects. We also offer our assistance at special events.Grounds
Our grounds personnel are a progressive, oriented organization focused on delivering quality services. Services offered include general grounds maintenance, custom bedding and ornamental installations, indoor plantings and plant setups for special events, tree pruning and planting (on and off campus) Grounds staff plays a large part in the recycling activities by weekly moving the recycle containers to a designated area for pickup by the city and then returning them to the designated buildings once emptied.Environmental Services
The Environmental Services department is a 24-hour operating service staffed with 40 service professionals covering all academic and administrative facilities. Our services include:
