UNA offers programs and resources designed to support adult learners who are ready to begin, return to, or complete an undergraduate degree. Whether you have been away from college for several years, have previous college credit but have not yet earned a degree, or are balancing your education with work and family responsibilities, these opportunities can help make completing your degree more accessible and affordable.
UNA Admissions
Adult learners are encouraged to connect with their Admissions Counselor to explore degree options, available funding opportunities, transfer credit, application requirements, and their next steps toward completing a degree at UNA. Funding Your Path to a UNA Degree
At the University of North Alabama, we believe returning to college and completing your degree should be within reach. UNA offers a variety of funding opportunities, tuition discounts, grants, and programs designed to make earning a bachelor’s degree more affordable for adult learners. Whether you are returning with previous college credit, have already earned an associate degree, or work for one of UNA’s partner organizations, there may be an opportunity available to help reduce the cost of completing your degree. ReEngage Alabama
The (Re)Engage Alabama Grant Program helps Alabama adults with previous college credit return to college and complete their undergraduate degree. The program provides financial assistance to eligible adult learners pursuing degrees aligned with Alabama’s high-demand workforce needs. At UNA, (Re)Engage Alabama can help make returning to college and completing your degree more affordable. Eligibility and funding requirements are established by the State of Alabama and the Alabama Commission on Higher Education (ACHE). If you are involved in any of the below programs, please complete the ReEngage Alabama Application Form and email it to admissions@una.edu for review. Our Admissions team will reach out to discuss your next steps.

Deadlines for Student Application Submission to the Institution:
- Fall semester (or quarter) term applications due September 15.
- Spring semester (or quarter) term applications due February 15.
- Summer semester (or quarter) term applications due June 15.
- Winter quarter term applications due January 15.
FINISH DISCOUNT
The UNA Finish Scholarship provides a tuition discount to returning students who are ready to complete their undergraduate degree. Students pursuing any academic program may qualify if they have completed 60 or more credit hours at UNA or another institution toward their degree. This opportunity is designed to make returning to college more affordable and help students turn their previous college experience into a completed degree. Eligibility is determined after applicable transfer credit has been officially evaluated and articulated by UNA’s Office of the Registrar.

PARTNERSHIPS
The UNA Partnership Discount Program makes continuing your education more affordable through partnerships with businesses and organizations. Employees of participating organizations may be eligible for a tuition discount while pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree at UNA. These partnerships are designed to support professional development, career advancement, and accessible educational opportunities for today’s workforce.
