Title VI Plan Statement
The University of North Alabama (UNA) is committed to complying with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 49 C.F.R. Part 21, and all applicable federal statutes and regulations. In accordance with these requirements, no person in the United States shall, on the basis of race, color, or national origin, be excluded from participation in, denied the benefits of, or otherwise subjected to discrimination under any program or activity receiving federal financial assistance (42 U.S.C. § 2000d).
UNA is also committed to providing meaningful access to its programs and services for individuals with Limited English Proficiency (LEP), consistent with applicable federal law.
The purpose of this plan is to assist the University of North Alabama in administering and managing its Title VI compliance responsibilities.
Title VI Notice of Protection Against Discrimination
The University of North Alabama operates its programs and activities in compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. UNA does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, or national origin in any program or activity receiving federal financial assistance.
