IRB Submission Quick Steps
*To ensure the accuracy of each IRB submission, the person(s) submitting for approval must check each of the appropriate boxes. A submission will not be reviewed for implementation until the checklist is complete. Please include the completed checklist with each submission as a table of contents. Check List.

Step 1 – Complete CITI Training and Submit Certificate

Step 2 – Submit Research Application and Protocol Form
If you are a UNA Student or Faculty Member, you must use your UNA portal email for all communications and use on all applicable forms (application, proposal, consent/assent forms, etc.). -
Step 3—Complete and submit any other required documentation, such as the Assent and Consent Forms (below), copies of surveys, etc.

Step 4—Submit all forms electronically by self-enrolling on the Canvas website. Once enrolled, locate the module entitled "Submission Portal Module," click on the assignment labeled "IRB proposal submission," and upload all of the proposal documents into Canvas.

All forms must be submitted through a university-established email account.
