Withdrawal Process

Withdrawing from a course before the deadline will not affect a student's GPA or academic standing. A notation of W, WP or WF is made on a student's transcript depending on the timing of course withdrawal. See schedule of classes for dates.

Any Early College student wishing to drop a class must do the following:

Drop Notification & Hold Lift Instructions

  • Request that your high school counselor send an email to earlycollege@una.edu or call 1.256.765.4608.
  • Counselor must provide Early College student's full name, UNA ID number, and course name/section.
  • Please allow 24-48 hours for the request to be processed. Some exceptions may apply.

Traditional Withdrawal Refund Policy

Fall and Spring Semesters

The 100% refund period is effective through the close of business on the 8th calendar day from the date classes begin.

No tuition refunds are granted beginning on the 9th calendar day from the date classes begin, except in certain cases with medical, military, or other extenuating circumstances.

 

Summer Term

The 100% refund for the Regular Summer Session, Session I and Session II is effective through close of business on the 4th calendar day from the date classes begin.

No tuition refunds are granted beginning on the 3rd day from the date classes begin, except in certain cases with medical, military, or other extenuating circumstances.

 

Intersession Term

No tuition refunds are granted due to the shortened schedule of the course (two weeks), except in certain cases with medical, military, or other extenuating circumstances.
