Dhrumil Patel received his BFA in Interior Design from APIED, India in 2002 and his MFA in Interior Architecture and Design from the Academy of Art University in 2015. He also holds Masters in Community Planning from Auburn University (2007). Prior to teaching full-time, he was a partner at Surfaces, a design firm based in Ahmedabad, India. He possesses extensive experience in both commercial and residential interior design. Professor Patel is interested in sustainable design, adaptive reuse, and use of technology in design. He was a part of the design team for the newly renovated McKinney Center.
