Guides, tools, and technology resources to support your courses and your students, whether you’re preparing for the semester, exploring new tools, or looking for help mid-course.
CTL is an instructional support unit of the University supporting faculty, staff, and students in the online course environment. The CTL is expanding services beginning in the Fall. Existing instructional technology resources and support remain available, and new CTL initiatives will be introduced throughout the summer.

Work with CTL’s instructional design team to build or improve your courses.
Official Canvas instructor documentation. Need to add an admin, colleague, or TA to your course? Complete the Course Access Request Form.
Audio/video recording and hosting within Canvas. Recording equipment is available at Collier Library. See their Equipment Catalog.
Social annotation tool for collaborative reading and discussion directly on course texts.
Conferencing and collaboration tools for synchronous instruction and team communication.
Create and manage tests and quizzes for Canvas.
Proctoring tools for online assessments.
You will be prompted to create a Zendesk account. After verifying your email address, you will be able to access the help guides.
Plagiarism detection (Feedback Studio) and student writing support (Draft Coach). Available as a Canvas integration or stand-alone. To use Turnitin outside of Canvas, contact ets@una.edu.
Schedule and host web conferences for your classes or office hours.
