The Engineering major in the Bachelor of Engineering degree program at the University of North Alabama is a newly established program that began in the fall of 2024. Currently, the BEng in Engineering degree is not accredited by ABET, https://www.abet.org. However, the program is proactively preparing for its first scheduled ABET review, which will take place after our first class of students graduates. If the review is successful, we will seek retroactive ABET accreditation to include graduates from the two years prior to the initial accreditation.
