Attention All Graduated Theatre Majors!!!

Have you ever wondered what happened to your fellow classmates? Chances are they wonder where you are too. Don't be shy--send us your update. We can't know about you and your credits unless you yourself send us an update.

We will edit where necessary. And please be patient---it is difficult to update the site more than once a semester while teaching and directing our current students.

Only those responding will be included---so don't be left out.

Brian Barnett -
Brian is currently living in New York City acting and working behind the scenes in student and independent films.

Michael Fisher -
After his graduation and appearance on Who Wants to be a Millionaire, Michael moved to New York City where he has been regularly performing stand-up at the Gotham Comedy Club and Caroline's On Broadway.

Jennifer Salter Redman -
Jennifer worked for Shades Valley High School before starting graduate training for her MFA in Costume Design at Ohio University. Most recently she worked with costuming and dressing for the Ohio Valley Summer Theatre.

Michael Redman -
Michael Redman has been nominated for a Helen Hayes award in Lighting Design for his work with projections in the new play, Dontrell, Who Kissed the Sea at Theater Alliance in Washington D.C. The Helen Hayes awards are the highest recognition for theatre in the Washington D.C. area. After leaving UNA, Redman worked with various regional theatres and Shakespeare Festivals, and served as Technical Director for the University of the South (Sewanee) and Nashville Children’s Theater. He currently serves as the Production Manager/Technical Director for Georgetown University’s Theatre Department.


Kristen Parker -
Kristen completed an acting internship with the 13th Street Repertory and a management internship with Ciona Taylor Productions in New York City. She is now working on the management team at the O'Neil theatre with Spring Awakening.


J. Scott Long -
Scott recently had his script 5:25 AM accepted for performance at the Edward Albee Last Frontier Theatre Festival which featured Edward Albee and Tony Kushner as guest playwrights.


Chris Bedwell -
Chris is currently living in Los Angeles pursuing his acting career and battling credit card companies.

Daryl is currently living in New York as an actor and model. He has acted in several independent films, Off-Broadway shows and is featured on the cover of two newly released books. He also acted in a national commercial for Comedy Central and has been an extra on As the World Turns.

Laura Holt Dlouhy -
Laura is currently living in Memphis with her husband, Stephen. She completed her Masters in Psychology at the University of Memphis and is currently working as a neuropsychologist at LeBonheur Children's Hospital. Laura performs professionally with two improv groups and dabbles in stand-up. She was recently third place winner for Funniest Person in Memphis.

Mandy Hughes -
Mandy is busy with her new little baby girl and working with Target management.

Rachel Scanlon -
Rachel is engaged and preparing to move to Anchorage, Alaska where she will be working on her Masters in Wildlife Biology

Daniel Tracy -
Daniel received his MFA in Acting Pedagogy Program at the University of Alabama. He is now Assistant Professor of Theatre & Speech at North Georgia College and State University in Dahlonega.


Melissa Braswell -
Mel recently worked with Goodspeed Musical Theatre, Birmingham Children's Theatre Company and West Virginia Public Theatre. She is currently between jobs and working at Books-a-Million.

Anna Brooks Gross -
Anna completed her MA in Theatre at the University of South Carolina and is currently an adjunct faculty member at Castleton State College in Vermont.

Dana Newton -
Dana finished work with the Portland Stage Company and is currently in Nashville working as an automotive welder.

Russell Ware -
Russell is working as a Stage Technician for the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida.


Sam Gross -
Sam completed his MFA in Technical Theatre at the University of Indiana, Bloomington and is now working as an instructor and the Assistant Technical Director at the University of South Carolina.

Steven D. Gross -
Steven completed an internship in design in Stockholm, Sweden and completed his MFA Scenic Design graduate school program at The University of South Carolina, in Columbia. Steven is currently a theatre faculty member at Castleton State College in Vermont.

Mark S. Hampton -
Mark is now living in Los Angeles where he has been acting in commercials, independent film and as an extra on NBC's The Office.


Christine Heline -
Christine is currently serving as the secretary for the Alabama Psychiatric Services in Decatur, Alabama.


Cid Haley -
Cid is putting her theatre and role-playing skills to work as the Adolescent Clinical Coordinator and Adult Counseling Therapist with Bradford Health Services.

Ashley (Miles) Hendricks -
Ashley is now married, has a little boy and is living in Atlanta. She completed her Masters of Education and is now teaching drama in middle school.

Collin Martin -
Colin just completed the MFA Acting Program at The University of Tennessee in Knoxville, and is now living and working in New York City.

Brian Peace -
Brian is working as a bartender in Atlanta and is happily married.

Rick Richey -
Rick has been living in New York for several years, modeling and working as a personal trainer. Rick recently began a new business in health and fitness known as Inwellness Systems.

Pamela Wilson -
Pamela graduated with an MFA from Virginia Commonwealth Theatre and served as managing director of the Firehouse Theatre. She also worked with the TriBeCa Performing Arts Center/Manhattan Community College before taking her current job as Theatre Operations Manager for the Blueman Group in New York City.


Steifon Passmore -
Steifon has been working with the Shoals' country station, WXFL KIX 96.1 FM, for eight years and can be heard 2-6 PM Monday through Friday. He has also been active in local theatre and in television commercials.


Amy L Shipman Lambright -
Amy is married to Trevor Lambright and has a daughter, Catherine Ann. Amy worked for the State of Maryland until returning to the Shoals. She now works for Listerhill Credit Union and is still active in community theatre.


Debbie Detrick Hicks -
Debbie is currently on the Board of Directors of Gingerbread Players, working at a mini-storage business, and still very actively acting and directing in community theatre in the Shoals. Debbie is married with two children.

Steve Knight -
Steve resides in NYC where he is a Senior Account Executive at Eliran Murphy Group, a performing arts advertising agency. Steve's clients include Broadway, Off-Broadway and Lincoln Center productions.

Brad Letson -
Brad is currently performing in Shear Madness at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C.


Melissa Ricketts Tillery - Melissa received her MFA in Directing/Theatre for Youth from UNC Greensboro. She is the Audition Director for SETC Professional Auditions and a free-lance director in Pigeon Forge. She recently directed The Miracle, an original musical based on the life of Christ.


Laura Ringnell Connolly -
Laura is the Zodiac Theatre Box office Manager in Florence, AL.


Steve Earnest -
Steve Earnest is Associate Professor/Chair of Theatre Arts at Coastal Carolina University in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. He is a member of Actors Equity Association, Screen Actors Guild, ATHE, and the International Brecht Society, and has performed with Colorado Shakes, Performance Riverside, Burt Reynolds Theatre, Florida Stage Company and Birmingham Summerfest, among others. Publications include a book, The State Acting Academy of East Berlin, and articles in Theatre Journal, Western European Stages, Theatre Symposium, New Theatre Quarterly, Opera Journal, and Backstage West, among others. Formerly an Associate Professor of Theatre at California State University, San Bernardino, Steve served as circuit coordinator/board member for Region 8 of ACTF for four years. Steve is married to Barbie Sherrod Earnest (former UNA Lionette) and they have four children - Abigail, Stephen, Zachary and Mattie.


Ron Homan -
Ron is teaching high school and operates a children's theatre company. He is also preparing to open a restaurant in the fall.


Dr. Joseph W Douglass, Sr., Ph.D., DAPA -
Joseph studied set design at UNA under Gladys Shepard. Joseph is now working in Aviano, Italy at Aviano Air Force Base as a Professional Counselor/Psychotherapist with his wife Victoria Jane (Cochrane) Douglass.
