Bio:

I have a  Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from the UNA, a Master’s from the University of West Alabama in Library Science with an emphasis in technology,  and an Ed.S from UNA in Teacher Leadership.  I hold a National Board certification as a Middle Childhood Generalist educator and am also a certified trainer for the Alabama State Department's learning exchange. Before coming to Kilby I taught 4th grade for 3 years. I am heading into my 7th year as the Media Specialist at Kilby and I have the most amazing job in the world. The best part about my job is being able to work closely with every student and every teacher in the school.

I have been married to Josh for 11 years. We have three precious kids. Hadley is 6 and will be in 1st grade, Tess is 4 and will be in Kindergarten, and JT is 1.  My husband is a professional rodeo cowboy so we spend most of our time traveling to rodeos, team ropings, and our newest event, team pennings. This year Josh was selected to compete in the Extreme Mustang Makeover Challenge in Fort Worth, TX. We have 5 horses, too many dogs to count, chickens, a donkey, and a billy goat named Spud.

Other than spending time with my family and riding horses, I read every chance I get. I also enjoy playing ANY sports and I am a self proclaimed ping pong champion!
