Program Description

Program Description: Students will develop a wide array of skills including public relations writing, visual layout and design, and crisis management. Grades earned within this program will be part of your permanent academic record and may be applied to the Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science Degree with a major in Mass Communication program. Upon completion of this micro-credential, students should have the skills to:

  • Write mission statements, appeal letters, video news releases, and speeches for nonprofit organizations.
  • Create newsletters, brochures and small publications using modern publishing software tools to help nonprofit organizations increase awareness or public engagement.
