Application
- UNA has two intakes each year- the Fall and Spring semesters. The Fall semester begins in August and the Spring semester begins in January.
- The Summer semester (June-July) is only available for Academic English Program applicants (ESL).
- For Fall semester: Application due before June 1
- For Spring semester: Application due before October 1
- For Summer: Application due before April 1 (ESL only)
Please note that the online application form and all supplemental materials must be submitted by these dates in order for your application to be considered.
Undergraduate applicants must submit an approved English proficiency test with their application. Acceptable tests include:
- CBT = 173
- TOEFL iBT = 61
- IELTS = 5.5
- TOEIC = 600
- PTE = 46
- Duolingo = 90
Graduate applicants
- CBT = 213
- TOEFL iBT = 79
- IELTS = 6.0
- TOEIC =670
- PTE 54
- Duolingo = 100
MOI can be accepted as English Proficiencey.
Applicants from the following countries may be considered exempt from providing standardized exam scores (i.e., TOEFL, IELTS). For admission they must also provide proof of successful completion of the equivalent to a U.S. high school diploma or U.S. post-secondary degree from an accepted, accredited institution in one of the countries listed below. Students who completed their high school or bachelor’s degree in English can be except.

Funding
- UNA does not offer any fully-funded scholarships. However, multiple scholarships are available for international students. Students will be considered for all available scholarships when they apply. There is no separate application or essay for scholarships.
