Testing Services


Due to concerns over Covid 19, there will be very limited academic testing in the fall semester.  
CLEP and MAT testing will be available on a limited basis. Check back after Labor Day for specifics.

If you are not a currently-enrolled UNA student with a valid parking permit, please contact Kenda Rusevlyan at khrusevlyan@una.edu for parking information should you come to campus to take one of the tests we offer.

UNA offers you a variety of testing services, including the GRE, ACT, SAT, and PRAXIS. Information and registration for these tests are available on each test's website. Clicking on the name of the test will take you to the website.

If you took your GED test at UNA, you can call 888.906.4031 to obtain a copy of your transcript. UNA is no longer a GED testing site. Please contact Northwest Shoals Community College for GED testing.

The testing coordinator's office is located in The Commons on the 2nd floor. You can reach this office at 256.765.4773 to find out more information about the tests you need. Click on the link to the test(s) if you need to find out the testing schedule. Some tests are given only at certain times and dates, while you must schedule an appointment to take others.

Miller Analogies Test (MAT)

Information: If you are applying to graduate schools in the area of business, education, counseling, English, nursing, criminal justice, and many others, you may be required to take the MAT.

College Level Examination Program (CLEP)

Registration: The CLEP tests are conducted by appointment only and you can schedule your appointment through University Advising Services by calling 256.765.4773 or stopping by the testing office on the 2nd floor of The Commons.

It is imperative that you speak with the testing coordinator, Kenda Rusevlyan, to see if you are a candidate for CLEP testing. She welcomes your inquiry via phone or email.
