Welcome to the Mathematics Learning Center!

 The Mathematics Learning Center (MLC) is available to you as an integral part of the Mathematics Department. We want you to become a confident and independent learner of mathematics, so the MLC will provide you with a positive and professional learning environment to develop or reinforce any mathematics course you are taking here at UNA. You have access to face-to-face or online tutoring sessions with MLC Tutors (UNA students who have done well in many of our mathematics courses) in the MLC.

SUMMER 2024 Hours

The MLC is open during the summer for appointments only. The summer schedule is:
Mondays from 10:00am - 2:00pm
Tuesdays from 10:00am - 2:00pm
Wednesdays from 10:00am - 2:00pm
Thursdays from 10:00am - 2:00pm
Fridays - CLOSED
The MLC will be closed for the following summer holidays:

Face-to-Face and Online (via ZOOM Video Conferencing) tutoring appointments with Mathematics Tutors are available during Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters for all sections of the following Mathematics classes at UNA:
  • Algebra/Calculus through Calculus II:  MA100, MA100E, MA112, MA113, MA115, MA121, MA125, MA126
  • Statistics:  MA105, MA110, MA147 
  • Arts:  MA111
  • Elementary Teachers:  MA251, MA252, MA253

When making an appointment, let your math tutor know what you need help with (by filling out the notes section when you schedule your appointment). Provide as much detail as you can so that you and your math tutor can utilize your 30 minute appointment. If you need more than 30-minutes, you may schedule up to three (3) appointments in a row in one day.

Drop-in tutoring, no appointment neccessary, is the Math Study Center with more than one tutor on staff is open during Fall and Spring semesters only.
