Bio: Dr. Barrett serves as the Director of the Institute for Innovation and Economic Development and the LaGrange Eminent Scholar. He has served as a UNA faculty member since 1997, taught as Professor of Quantitative Methods since 2004, and is the current Chair of the Department of Economics and Finance. Dr. Barrett has completed several economic impact studies for clients such as the City of Florence, Huntsville Housing Authority, RegionalCare Hospital Partners, and the University of North Alabama.

Bio: Dr. Blackstone is a Professor in the Department of Economics and Finance. She has worked for the Department of the Navy as a Senior Research Economist, serving as a Principal Investigator on multiple science and technology efforts and in the role of Manpower and Personnel Science and Technology Manager for the Office of Naval Research. Dr. Blackstone’s experience includes Fellowships with Chief of Naval Operations Strategic Studies Group 35 and Consortium of Research Fellows Washington D.C. She has external funding awards in excess $1.5M. She actively publishes in various applied journals.

Bio: Dr. Davenport is an expert within the field of organizational behavior, leadership, and decision making having earned advanced degrees in both clinical and industrial/organizational psychology. He has published research in numerous scientific journals on a variety of organizational topics including work teams, decision making, conflict, personality, and leadership and has provided managerial and organizational consulting services to both private and governmental organizations over the past decade. Dr. Davenport is an Associate Professor of Management at the University of North Alabama and serves as the Director of Graduate Studies for the College of Business.

Dr. Parnell has lectured in a number of countries, including China, Mexico, Peru and Egypt. His current research focuses on issues related to competitive business strategies, nonmarket strategy, crisis management and ethics.
